A designated toll-free number, that’s registered to your business comes standard. At this time, we cannot port your own phone number for texting.

We offer a 30-day free trial to see if this will be a good fit for your business. You have the option to choose a payment plan of either month-to-month, quarterly or annually. During the trial period you also have the option to cancel prior to being billed for your subscription, should you choose not to continue.

We provide a done-for-you service and will set up monthly recurring automated SMS messages on your behalf. This could be any sort of promotion, announcement, upcoming event, and special offer. We’ll craft your text messages for you in your brand voice and communication style.

Currently, we do not allow access to the texting platform. We believe our done-for-you model better serves small local businesses, like yours.

We prioritize ethical and best practices in sending text messages. Our goal is to protect you, the business owner, from any potential violations under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA).

However, we also feel it’s important for business owners to have the flexibility to send a text message when appropriate. This is the reason we initially created our mobile app—so businesses could send quick text messages to their subscribers. You are welcome to send quick texts to your list, subject to the following understanding:

  • The TCPA prohibits sending text messages outside of quiet hours, defined as before 8 am and after 9 pm in the recipient’s time zone. Many states enforce even stricter time-of-day restrictions. 
  • Text messages will be deducted from your available credit balance.
  • We’ve provided a credit calculator when creating your own text messages. This shows you exactly how many credits will be deducted from your available credit balance.
  • If you realize you don’t have enough credits, you can purchase a one-time credit package that will never expire.

While local, 10DLC phone numbers are popular with local businesses, toll-free numbers are generally a better choice than 10DLC/A2P when using for SMS marketing purposes. Therefore, we recommend and purchase toll-free numbers for our clients.

MMS (Multimedia Messaging Service) supports multimedia content such as images, audio and GIFs.

SMS (Short Message Service) is limited to text. You can use emojis in your SMS messages, however the 160 character limit will be reduced to around 70 characters per segment. You can also add text links in your SMS messages.

While MMS offers additional media advantages, its also a lot more expensive. SMS remains a cost-effective option for simple text-based messages and notifications. SMS is seen as more relational (think family and friends), whereas MMS can appear to be more spammy.

For the purposes of marketing and ongoing customer engagement, it is strongly preferred to use SMS. SMS messages are more direct, quicker to read, more relational, compatible with virtually every mobile device, and less expensive. In order to maximize the value of customer engagement, we only send SMS messages.

Yes. We install a sum of 2,000 SMS credits into your account each month. One credit is equal to one SMS segment of 160 characters. Unused monthly sum credits will roll over to the next month. You will not lose any of your monthly credits.

If you would like to accumulate more credits for future use, you can purchase the following credit packages.

  • 500 credits: $27.50 ($.055 ea.)
  • 1000 credits: $50.00 ($.05 ea.)
  • 2500 credits: $112.50 ($.045 ea.)
  • 5000 credits: $200.00 ($.04 ea.)
  • 7500 credits: $262.50 ($.035 ea.)
  • 10000 credits: $320.00 ($.032 ea.)

Note: If you purchase an individual credit package, you will not lose these credits. Any unused credits from a credit package will roll over into the following month and are safely stored in your account for future use.

We are looking into integrating with POS systems, but at this time the most streamlined way to use our loyalty program is through the scanner app. There will be a set-up fee and additional monthly costs incurred if a POS integration is added.
